Garden
A garden is a space used for the display, cultivation, and enjoyment of plants. A garden may be in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments including the backyards of domestic residences, public buildings, and commercial spaces.
A garden may contain:
- a vegetable garden: a section of the garden intended for growing vegetables
- additional crops including fruits and grains
- a flower garden: a section of the garden intended for ornamental plants, often carrying esthetic flowers
- a lawn (not always present though, ie in the case of rock gardens
- micro-orchard: fruit trees that are often espaliered
- hedges and green façades and walls
- compost pile
- Cold frame
- Greenhouses
- Polytunnel
