Wick gardening

Wicking beds are more expensive and take more time to construct, but offer many benefits. They can be grown as raised garden beds on top of poor soil, or as sunken beds. Benefits include:

  • Less watering, as water is stored under the plant roots.
  • Higher chance of survival during hot and dry conditions.
