Troubleshooting

Background and Identification:
Released on September 7th 2017, the ROG Strix GL702VS, made by Asus has a highly distinguishable Republic of Gamers logo on the back of the screen. The logo can also be found below the keyboard on the right. Underneath the screen on the bezel the words ‘REPUBLIC OF GAMERS’ will be written out. Look for markings such as ‘Asus’ & ‘Strix’
It shipped with two color options: ‘Myst Black’ & ‘Armour Titanium’
The design follows the common trend among their ROG brand by targeting the gaming community with the responsive red back-lit keyboard and built-in GPU. The device is advertised as ‘VR-Ready’

Multiple versions of this laptop were made. Storage varied from 128GB to 1000GB. There were two differing refresh rate displays, which was either 120Hz or 75hz. Models either had the Intel® Core™ i7 7700HQ or Intel® Core™ i5 7300HQ Processor.

Due to the fact that this laptop does not have a CD/Optical drive, you may want to purchase an external USB optical drive. In the case that you would want to use CD’s/DVD’s/Games on disk, this option will be your best bet.
