Background and Identification
The Dell Chromebook 11 CB1C13 is a portable personal computer designed and manufactured by Dell, which was released on January 15, 2014. It is built to run a linux based operating system based off of the Google Chrome browser (Chrome OS), which also supports the use of apps from the google play store. It can be identified by its model number CB1C13, along with the Dell and Google chrome logos on the top of the device’s black outer casing. These are located in the middle, and in the top left-hand corner respectively.
The main idea behind the creation of the Chromebook was to develop a cheap and efficient laptop that could be easily accessed by a majority of people. They have mainly seen use in educational environments, as well as a cheap alternative for basic laptop needs. The Dell Chromebook 11 CB1C13 is one of the many Chromebook that have been released over the years
It is important to note that a recall has been made on the power adapter of the device. There have been multiple cases of the chargers overheating, which can cause fire and electrical damage. You can verify a recalled adaptor by seeing if they include "P/N 9364U," P/N 7832D" or "P/N 4983D" on their back label.
It is also worth noting that there are two different Chromebook 11s that have also been released along with this device. These two were both manufactured by HP, and were released one year before and after this device. It is important to determine which version you have before using any information on this page, since the inner contents of each device may vary. This is very simple to do however, since this device is the only Chromebook to be manufactured by Dell.
