Background and Identification
The Lasergrip 1080 is a handheld thermometer gun that is manufactured by Etekcity. To tell it apart from the other models, there is a sticker on the side with the model number. This specific model can measure temperatures from -58 to 1022 degrees. It has a laser pointer for easy aiming and a lit LCD display to make reading the results simple.
There have been no recalls on the Lasergrip 1080 or on any of the Lasergrip line at all. The 1080 comes with a 2 year warranty, so any problems that may arise can be solved by sending it in if you don't want to fix it yourself. The most likely failures are simple hardware malfunctions such as the misalignment of the laser. It is also easy to accidentally turn off many of the features such as the laser.
