The Lenovo Y50-70 is a gaming laptop released in 2014. It is also known by the shorter name “Y50.” The 15.6-inch display—available in a 1080p or 4K configuration—is powered by a Nvidia GTX 860M graphics card. The laptop uses a 4th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16 GB of memory located in two user-accessible slots. Likewise, the internal storage (either a standard 2.5-inch drive or an mSATA SSD) can be replaced or upgraded to make the computer faster.

In 2015, Lenovo updated the Y50-70 to include a faster Nvidia GTX 960M graphics card. They also sold a separate model called the Y50 Touch, which included touchscreen capability. Since the two models are similar, you may find other useful repair information at the iFixit page for the Y50 Touch.

The Lenovo Y50 laptop has a black plastic case. The keyboard includes a numpad and the keys themselves have a red accent around the edges.
