Background and Identification

The Monster Soundstage S2 is the mid-size home audio system of the Soundstage series. It is larger than the S1 but smaller than the S3. It can be identified by its smooth bow-front speaker grill and front-facing handle. The Soundstage S2 has a covered input/output panel on the back that contains a 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB input, digital/optical input, DC USB power output, and a DC power input. The panel also has a “WPS” (Wi-Fi protection setup) and “Mode” button along with a small reset button. Since its release in 2015, monster has provided users with several firmware updates for the Soundstage series to expand its compatibility. The Soundstage S2 features 2 smaller speakers in the front which are ideal for producing higher frequencies sounds and one larger woofer in the back capable of playing lower frequency bass.
