Background and Identification

Released in January of 2008, the Olympus Stylus 850 SW, also referred to as the Olympus µ850SW, is an 8.0 megapixel camera (µ is a symbol for the model). This camera feature a 2.5 inch HyperCrystal LCD screen which is optimal for better pictures in low-light and bright-light situations. It has shockproof capabilities, and can be dropped from a height of up to five feet with no damage. In addition, it is waterproof and freeze proof. It can operate in temperatures as low as 14ºF (-10ºC ). It comes in a variety of colors including the following: pink, yellow, black, silver, orange, and blue. With face detection technology, this camera can automatically focus and optimize exposure for high quality portraits. Digital Image Stabilization allows the Olympus model to produce clear images with a non-steady hand. You can verify the model of the camera by reading the front; the model number and style are printed on the front of the camera.
