Background
The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer was the 1st generation hair dryer released by Revlon in 2016. This unique hair dryer features a rounded nondetachable oval brush design. The brush head itself contains a combination of nylon pins and tufted bristles. Additionally, the brush contains 3 different heat/speed settings located at the bottom of the hair dryer’s handle.
The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Volumizer is a part of the Pro-Collection series designed to smooth and create volume while minimizing frizz. Compared to a normal hair dryer, this version of the hair dryer includes a thick rounded oval shaped barrel; this allows for a closer placement to the scalp for a more lifted effect. The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer include a 6ft swivel cord, and it also comes with 3 different heat/speed settings: cool, low, and high.
Revlon eventually came out with a newer version of the hair dryer in 2021 called the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Plus.
Identification
This model of the hair dryer can be identified by the name Revlon printed at the bottom of the handle, right above the heat setting controls. Furthermore, it can be distinguished by the unique barrel design measuring at 4.25” compared to the newer model with a slimmer barrel size of 2.4”. The hair dryer’s model number is RVDR5222 and can be found on the handle of the brush.
