Background and Identification
The Samsung SmartThings Hub was released in September of 2015. This particular Samsung SmartThings Hub can be distinguished from its first generation counterpart by the added USB ports. The Hub is a white rounded rectangle with a circular depression in the center. A major feature on this device is the imprint on the top of the device, the imprint spells out Samsung SmartThings. This device allows its users to connect with their home via WiFi, Bluetooth and Ethernet, as well as the ZigBee and Z-Wave+ mesh networking protocols.
