Identification and Background

The SolaDyne Table Top LED Lantern is model number 7450, manufactured by SolaDyne through Aervoe Industries. It is run off an internal rechargeable battery that can be charged either by solar, hand crank, or through an AC adapter.

There are a few easy ways you can verify that you have a model 7450 instead of similar Aervoe products such as the 7421 or the 7452. The main difference that separates this model apart is that the handle and main body is molded from a yellow plastic instead of gray. It also only has one set of LEDs on the bottom of the reflector, instead of on the top and bottom as in the 7452. Another main difference that sets it aside from the 7452 is the fact that it does not have a removable battery compartment on the base of the lantern. In the 7452 model you can open the battery compartment to add in an additional four AA batteries to extend battery life of the lantern past the rechargeable battery alone. The 7450 does not have this feature in the base.
