Identification and Background

The Sony Ericsson s710a is a swivel design phone. The s710a was released worldwide making it a Tri-band phone supported by the GSM cell phone technology. The Tri-band antenna allows the phone to operate on three different frequencies in multiple countries. However, when Tri-band phones are released within the United States they are locked to the US frequency.

The s710a was released in 2001 for the AT&T network using the 850 MHz US frequency along with using their EDGE network. A key feature of the s710a at the time was its expandable memory slot, which added to its mp3 player capabilities. The compatible memory card is the memory stick pro duo. Bluetooth technology allows for hands free calling and the 1.3 megapixel camera is great for capturing any moment.
