Background and Identification
The Sony Vaio VGN-SR140E laptop is part of the Sony Vaio series produced by Sony. Sony made computers in the 1980s but temporarily stopped to focus on mobile devices. In 1996, they began making computers again under the Vaio brand, but discontinued their personal computer sales again in 2014, selling their PC business to Japan Industrial Partners Inc.
The Sony Vaio VGN-SR140E was sold between 2007 and 2009 and includes a built-in webcam and Windows Vista. The laptop includes the name “Sony” in capital letters in the center of the laptop’s bottom bezel.
