Many automotive accessories are purchased from the automotive aftermarket, which is the secondary market of the automotive industry. The automotive aftermarket is concerned with the manufacturing, remanufacturing, retailing, distribution, and installation of vehicle parts, equipment, and accessories after the sale of the automobile by the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) to the consumer. Aftermarket automobile accessories may not be sold by the original equipment manufacturer.
