Background and Identification

The C560 is an all-in-one desktop computer released by Lenovo in 2014. It consists of a 23-inch (58.4 cm) screen, internals in a plastic case behind the screen, and a two-pronged stand attached to the case. Some models include touchscreen capability. The front of the C560 has a speaker bar below the display along with Wi-Fi indicator lights on the bottom left and volume/brightness controls on the bottom right. The majority of the ports on this computer are located in a recessed box on the back, but some are more accessible on the left side of the case.

The C560 is very repairable. You can access key components like the memory, hard drive, and optical drive by simply removing the bottom portion of the back case. Doing so doesn’t even require a screwdriver! Lenovo also has excellent documentation of these repair procedures in the C560 manual (if the link doesn’t work, the manual is available on the Lenovo support site). Other components are placed behind the larger back cover, but this is also fairly easy to remove.

You can identify this computer by looking for a sticker containing the serial number and the model number “C560” on the back of the device. You can find more specific information about your exact specifications by entering your serial number on Lenovo’s support page.
