Introduction

If you forgot your password, PIN, pattern drill, or if you have problem with your Android OS, you can make a Factory / Hard reset.

    • Power off the tablet. Press and hold the Volume Up and the Power button. After 3 seconds release the Power On button but continue holding the Volume Up button. In the Select Boot Mode use the Volume Up/Down keys to navigate and the Power button to select the desired option.

    • [SD Image Update Mode]

    • wipe data/factory reset

    • Yes - delete all user data

    • Reboot system now.

    • Your tablet will reboot and go to the Welcome screen.

    on my tablet I did what you said but all I got was in tiny letters bottom left was =FASTBOOT mode… any suggestions but this is a acer iconica one 10

    mine had just reboot then asked me to input my google or gmail account i had put it in but it says..unable to access email and it needs 24 hrs..after 2 days i did it again but to no avail anothe day had passed i do it again and again but still pemail and oassword wont work

Did this process with a few tweaks…and it hung on the Acer logo, so I powered off and back on and began the start up process. Great advice and it worked perfectly!

What if you only get => FASTBOOT mode… when you press the volume + and power button. Any ideas what to do then?

Use the power and the volume DOWN button. The volume up button only shows your fast boot
