Introduction
The Bosch B36CL80SNS Refrigerator is a 36" wide refrigerator built by BSH Home Appliances Corporation. The appliance is in Bosch's 800 series of appliances and became available in 2019. The EnergyStar rated appliance has dual compressors, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a water dispenser with a filter.
The water filter requires periodic replacement. This guide includes step-by-step instructions on replacing the water filter. Brief information on this process is displayed on page 19 of Bosch's manufacturer manual.

Open the freezer drawer.

Open the panel.

If the LED is on, press the button to deactivate the ice maker. The green LED will turn off.

Close the panel and then the freezer drawer.

Retrieve the replacement water filter.
-
Remove the new filter from the box and then remove the protective packaging.

Recycle the cardboard box (where recycling facilities exist) and then properly discard the plastic packaging.

Open the refrigerator door.
-
Press the Menu button located at the top of the door frame followed by the Alarm button.

Arrow keys will appear and the system will likely show ON. Press the directional arrow key to display OF.

Press the Menu button again to apply the setting.

The water filter panel is at the top right of the refrigerator. Ensure that the area around the water filter panel is clear.

On the bottom of the panel, there is a small directional arrow. Gently pull the panel towards you to unlock the panel.

Once the panel has unlocked, the door hinges towards the bottom left. Open the door to reveal the water filter.

Ensure that the newly purchased water filter matches the existing filter before proceeding to next steps.

Gently rotate the water filter counterclockwise to unlock the existing water filter.
-
Once the water filter is unlocked, pull the filter towards you to remove it.

Install the new water filter. There are small tabs on the filter housing which line up to the water filter inlet.

Gently rotate the new water filter clockwise to lock the filter into place.

Return the water filter cover to its original position by gently moving the panel upwards and to the right.

Push the panel towards the back wall of the refrigerator to lock the water filter cover into place.

Place a pitcher below the water dispenser and then begin dispensing water. This can be done by either pressing up on the switch with the pitcher or by pressing the grey button labeled water.

Run the water dispenser until 3 gallons (approximately 11.4 liters) have been dispensed. This will purge air from the water lines and condition the new water filter.

Press the Menu button at the top of the door frame.

The Change Filter button should illuminate. Press the button.

Press the directional buttons to reflect O. This resets the water filter replacement counter.

Press the Menu button to apply the setting change.

Press the Menu button.

Press the Alarm button.
-
Use the directional arrows to move the door alarm from OF to ON. This will reactivate the door alarm.

Press the Menu button to apply the setting change.

Close the refrigerator door.

Open the freezer drawer and locate the ice maker control panel.
-
Open the panel.
-
Press the button to illuminate the green LED. The ice maker is now on.

Close the panel and then close the drawer.
