Introduction

This guide has step-by-step instructions on how to exit Field Test Mode on your ZTE Max XL. To determine if you are in Field Test Mode, refer to our Troubleshooting Guide.

Step 1

Field Test Mode (FTM) can be useful if you perform tests on signal strength, but for most users it prevents some applications to run correctly.
The phone screen will display FTM when in the mode.

Step 2

Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the phone.

Step 3

Press the power button until your phone responds to power on the phone.
To assure your phone does not stay in FTM, DO NOT press the lower volume button. Pressing of the lower volume button is the reason your phone enters FTM.
