Introduction

This will walk you through the steps that are required to disassemble the LG Optimus V, and replace the antenna inside. Be cautious! Electronics can be delicate.

Before beginning this repair, turn off your phone and disconnect from your charger.

    • Turn the LG Optimus V over, so that the back cover is facing upward.

    • Use a spudger to detach the back cover.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to pry off the camera.

    • Use a soldering iron to desolder the connections attaching the the antenna to the motherboard.

    • Solder off the antenna, and solder on the new one. The antenna is now replaced.
