Introduction
If the laptop no longer starts and the screen remains black, the cause can be a flat Bios battery. This is simply replaced, after which the device works again without problems.

Make sure the laptop is off and remove the battery.

Loosen all screws (these remain in the case bottom) with a PH 00 screwdriver.

Open the clips around the case with an iFixit opening tool.

To remove the case bottom, you have to lift it slightly and push it backwards.

Be careful not to damage the case!

Carefully remove the foil

Disconnect the plug of the battery.

Remove the battery from the circuit board. This is glued to the circuit board with a spacer.

Find a replacement battery based on the type designation (in my case a 08K8050 - CR 2032 3V) and insert it.

Work through the steps in reverse order to reassemble your device.
