Introduction

If your battery will no longer accept a charge and you need to replace the battery, you can do so with this guide. For this guide, you will need a T4 Torx screwdriver and a spudger. This is a popular repair and it is very easy to do!

    • Before you begin, discharge the headset battery below 25%. A charged lithium-ion battery can catch fire and/or explode if accidentally punctured.

    • Gently pull the right ear pad off, starting from the top.

    • Slide your finger around the edges until it releases completely.

    • Remove the ear pad.

    • Remove the four screws securing the speaker housing using the T4 Torx screwdriver.

    • Place these screws on the magnetic pad so you don't lose them.

    • Lift off the speaker housing with care not to strain the connected cable.

    • Gently wiggle the battery cable side to side while pulling it out to disconnect the battery.

    • Take care not to puncture, twist, or bend the battery as you pry.

    • Use a spudger to pry the battery away from its housing, gently using pressure from all sides.

    • While a metal spudger is shown in the image, avoid using a metal spudger near batteries.

    • Reapply adhesive, place the new battery in place and plug it in.
