Introduction

Generally road side mechanics don't have the least knowledge and do their own way. Any unwanted noise if comes from drive chain they think it is due to worn out chain or chain sprockets, or may be the chain lock. They lube the chain with old used mobil. Making things more difficult. If you take some simple steps as I have written in my article it will give you an awesome biking experience.

Two points, why Diesel SHOUDN'T be used! First: The Diesel will attack the seals between the rings of the chain, wich prevent the lifetime grease filling to come out (same thing with Kerosine, Petroleum, Gasoline and high concentrations of any alcohol). If the Grease filling already came out, the chain is still useable, but it will wear out very fast. Second point is that the Diesel (which is pretty toxic and harmful to animals and humans) goes on the street and the next rain will take it in the nature. So DON'T use it! Don't wanna make advertisement, but I'm using the products from GreenOil, wich are 100% plant based and completely Biodegradable (http://www.green-oil.net). If you don't wanna take this, use something wich is declared as a special motorcycle chain cleaning product and compatible with O-,X-,W-Chains (probably Motul has one of these in their programs).
