Introduction

A step-by-step guide on how to replace the screen on a ZTE Blade Spark smartphone.

This guide is useful if the screen is cracked, has dead pixels, or is not displaying anything.

Please use caution and the necessary PPE if working with cracked screen glass.

    • Place phone screen side down on a flat surface.

    • Take an opening tool, and insert it between the phone's backplate and chassis.

    • Work the tool all the way around perimeter of the phone until the backplate is free.

    • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to carefully remove all fifteen 3.0 mm screws.

    • Remove the middle plate that was unscrewed from the previous step.

    • At this stage you should have 3 separate parts as shown.

    • For the next step you will be working on the middle part in this picture.

    • Take black covering off of battery.

    • Unclip fastener located in the red box. Blunt end tweezers are recommended for this process.

    • Remove battery so you are left with the base of the phone, the battery, and the battery cover separated.

    • Remove the 4mm screws in the 2 red circles shown with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Heat all 4 sides of the piece with the iOpener to loosen adhesive.

    • Now remove the screen from it's base using the opening tool.

Conclusion

Swap your old screen with your new screen. To reassemble your device with a new screen, follow these instructions in reverse order.
