Hello! I am a graduate student in the Department of Technical Communication at the University of North Texas. I chose to study technical communication because of the vast array of fulfilling career options within the field. After graduating in August of 2023, I hope to work as a technical writer or user experience writer. I have maintained a 3.9 GPA while balancing full-time school, one to two part-time jobs, and several extracurricular organizations. I am an active member of the UNT Honors College, the Eagle Technical Communicators (ETC), and the North Texas Emeralds dance team. I also served as the ETC Vice President from August 2020 to May 2021.

I am a tutor at the Comm Lab in the Department of Technical Communication at the University of North Texas. I offer individual consultations for TECM students to review their current progress, brainstorm ideas, and provide actionable feedback. This position requires me to be attentive to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds with equally diverse learning styles. My goal is to foster effective communication skills and to boost students' confidence in their skills. I have continuously received 98% to 100% positive feedback across four semesters as a tutor from students for perceived helpfulness and satisfaction.

I also created and currently manage the Comm Lab's Instagram account and TikTok account to promote upcoming workshops and events. This involves creating and implementing a social media content strategy and creating graphics and visualizations by hand. On top of this, I plan student engagement events to promote the Comm Lab, such as monthly contests and virtual games with prizes.

Additionally, I served as the Teaching Assistant for an advanced technical editing course. I acted as the first line of communication for students, evaluated major and daily assignments for mastery of technical editing principles, and created engaging weekly videos.

In my free time, I enjoy knitting socks and drinking matcha lattes on my balcony.
