Hello everyone! My name is Robert Castillo. I am a Sophomore at Cal State Los Angeles University with a major in Electrical Engineering.

When we were given small computer tasks to complete in middle school, I became interested in engineering. At the time, I was very interested in computers and enjoyed doing what I could. The times I spent with my friends back then were motivating, and I longed for the days when I could still be a child. However, those times are gone, and now I must work hard to pursue my goals. I loved the people here who are smart and kind and hope I can be the same. I was confident in my ability to succeed in college.

Since I had been accepted to my high school since the 11th grade, I began college in the fall of 2021, and I was pleased that they wanted to enroll me so soon. To get started on my path, I took a lot of English and advanced math classes. I enjoyed being in the presence of those who needed my assistance, and I would seek out the best course of action for myself in order to clarify and support the efforts of others.

I don't have a lot of repair expertise, but I'm eager to learn more through the iFixit project. At the age of 17, I enrolled in a Cisco Networking class, which required that I have a basic understanding of computer science and engineering. It also required that I get a sense for technical communication and engineering-related facets. My teacher was inspiring, and I liked how he always appreciated my work, which inspired me to pursue my dream. I was only driven to emulate him, so that is still my primary objective.

I aspire to continue working in the same field as my teacher and pursue a career in electrical engineering. I'm prepared to offer it my all in the hopes that I can succeed.
