Background

The Acer Aspire E1-572-6829 is a consumer laptop aimed at household users and small businesses. It was first manufactured by Acer in 2013 as a part of their Acer Aspire series. Its major features include a 1000 GB hard disk and a DVD-Super Multi DL Drive. The laptop comes equipped with an Intel Core i5-4200U processor with Intel HD Graphics 4400, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, and ships with Windows 8. It is good for school, work, and casual games because its graphics aren’t at the highest level for more hardcore gaming.

The Acer Aspire E1 is the series that includes the Acer Aspire E1-572-6829. It was produced to be an affordable laptop rather than for high performance and design. The E1 models ranged between $380 and $550. The most similar model, the Acer Aspire E1-572-6870 was sold for a little under $600.

Identification

The Acer Aspire E1-572-6829 has a glossy, black exterior with a silver Acer logo on the right hand side. It measures 10”x15”x1” and weighs 4.6 pounds. It has a 15.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and bottom firing speakers on the lower half of the laptop. You can locate the model number and other specifications on the sticker on the bottom right below the keyboard when you open the laptop.

On the right side of the laptop, there is a power jack, an optical drive, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports. On the left side, there is a Kensington Lock, a VGA port, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port, a USB 3.0 Type-A port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The laptop has a removable battery pack and comes with a 37 Wh battery. It has a full keyboard with a number pad on the right side, and the touchpad has one-piece physical mouse buttons in addition to the tap-to-click feature.
