The Amazon Fire HD 8 12th Generation is an Amazon made tablet that able to surf the web, play music, play games, stream videos, and provide eBooks for reading. It is primarily touch screen device with buttons on the side for power and speaker volume. The Amazon Fire HD 8 12th Generation was released in September of 2022. It serves as an upgrade from previous Amazon Fire HD 8s with its new and stronger touch screen, faster processing capabilities, and a lighter design along with more colorways.

The device has had no recalls. It has two possible versions that can be bought. One is a 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage version that comes at a lower cost than the 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage version. The model number for each is KFRAWI and KFRAPWI, respectively. The devices have an 8-inch screen with a rear and front camera. The 12th generation also has a stronger screen that is now made of strengthened aluminosilicate glass and only weighs 11.9 ounces.

The 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage version is only $99.99, if not cheaper due to a sale from a store or Amazon themselves. The price goes up $30 to $129.99 for the 3 GB RAM, 64 GB storage version, and can be cheaper if bought during a sale.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 12th Generation is a slim device with an 8-inch screen and black outer frame. It has a camera on the front side right above the screen and a rear camera in the top left of the back of the tablet. It has onboard speaker holes on the top edge of the device and a charging port on the bottom edge of the device. The device has a MicroSD card slot at the bottom right edge. It also has its only 3 buttons ( 2 for volume, 1 for powering on and off) on the side edge of the device along with a headphone jack. The back of the tablet has an Amazon logo on it as well.
