Background and Identification

The Sony Xperia XA series is a line of Android smartphones that were produced from 2016 to 2018 as part of the Xperia X series of phones. The Xperia XA series can be split intro three categories: the original XA, the XA1, and the XA2 lines. Sony Xperia XA phones are generally mid-range in terms of price and specifications.

The original Xperia XA phone was launched on February 22nd, 2016 at the yearly Mobile World Congress (MWC) smartphone showcase. The phone won several awards, including the Red Dot award in 2017. It was followed by the Xperia XA Ultra, and then by the XA1 line (with Ultra and Plus variants) and the XA2 line, also with Ultra and Plus models.

All of the phones in the Sony Xperia XA line have some features in common with each other. This includes an IPS LCD display, support for a microSD card, a headphone jack, an octa-core processor, and a non-removable battery. Most of them also have a 23MP camera with 1080p video recording capabilities.
