Background and Identification

The Xiaomi Mi Band is a wearable fitness tracker, released by Chinese electronics company Xiaomi Corporation in 2014. It can be worn around the wrist, ankle, or neck. The device can track physical activity and sleep, can unlock your Android smartphone, and is water resistant. The wristband is available in black, blue, green, lime green, orange, and pink.

The second iteration of the Xiaomi Mi Band, the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S (also known as Mi Band Pulse) was released in 2015. The main difference between the two devices is the addition of a heart rate sensor on the Mi Band 1S. Due to the heart rate sensor, the battery life of the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S does not last as long as its predecessor.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 1S was followed by the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 in 2016, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 in 2018, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 in 2019, and the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 in 2020.
