Background and Identification

The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is a low-cost, wearable activity tracker produced by Xiaomi. It was released on 7 June 2016. Unlike its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 comes with an OLED screen and a capacitive button.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 features Bluetooth 4.0 compatibility, so the watch is compatible with phones running on the Android 4.4 operating system or above, or the iOS 8.0 operating system or above with Bluetooth 4.0. By pressing the watch’s circular button, the OLED screen will display the time, the number of steps walked, the user’s heart rate, the distance walked by the user, calories burned by the user, and other data. The watch is IP67 Waterproof certified, meaning it can be held underwater for a maximum of 30 minutes at a depth of one meter.
