Background
The eufy Security SpaceView Monitor is a tablet-based baby monitor, linked to a Corequiste camera provided as one entire product. Released between 2018-2019, the combination allows the camera to be controlled remotely by the tablet. The monitor dimensions are 10 x 6.1 x 4 inches, and has a 5-inch, 720p HD display. Alongside this display, it possesses a stand for tabletop display and an antenna for proper connection to the camera at a distance. Alongside that, it possesses multiple controls that allow adjustment both for the tablet and camera as well.
This enables adjustment and movement of the camera throughout the room, adjustment of sound both for input and output and enabling the user to speak through the camera. Alongside this, there are multiple different menus and software options for the user to interact with the camera and different views. The user may choose between the regular lens and a wide view lens, alongside adjustment of its pan and tilt, showing a wide degree of flexibility for video coverage and security.
Identification
The eufy Security SpaceView Monitor is identifiable as a white tablet, largely based on the 5-inch display from the left corner of the tablet, to the right where it meets the camera controls.
There are 3 controls arrayed vertically in this open space on the right of the tablet. The first is the menu button, enabling software controls over the tablet and camera. The second is the navigation button, allowing the user to adjust the camera view within its range of motion. Finally, the third is the back button and talk button, enabling traversal through menus, and speaking through the camera's built-in microphone. The side of the tablet above the menu button, volume controls, and the power button are centered on the left and right portions of this tablet's side, respectively.
On the back, perpendicular to the navigation buttons, there exists a microSD card slot for data saving, a MicroUSB port for charging, and an LED indicator for battery life. On the bottom, adjacent to the power button is the microphone. Finally, on the backside of the tablet, opposite the screen, is a monitor antenna for signal, a support stand for setting the tablet down, and a speaker, both set parallel to one another.
