This is a simple and easy to follow guide on how to replace the cabin air filter in a 2023 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid.

The air cabin filter is responsible to catch any small particles or debris that could have entered your A/C. It is best to replace your cabin air filter every 15,000 miles or 24,000 Km. This can vary depending if your air coming from your A/C smells funny, which the problem is the cabin air filter being over used.

    • The cabin air filter is located behind the glove compartment.

    • Use both hands to push inward to release the plastic holders on both sides.

    • Carefully lower the glove compartment down.

    • You will have access to the filter compartment and cover.

    • Pinch the right side of the filter cover and pull toward you; it should come out with ease.

    • Be aware of the signs on the cover when replacing it in Steps 7-9.

    • Make sure you put the compartment upwards in the direction the arrow is pointing.

    • Follow the arrow to appropriately place the cover in place.

    • Do not forget to attach the support bar back to the glove compartment.

    • You can close the glove compartment. The plastic holders should click back to place.
