    • Unscrew the twenty M2 x 6 Phillips screws using a #00 Phillips screwdriver and a PH001 bit. Then, unplug the battery and disconnect all the components connected to the motherboard.

    • Pry open the bottom of the laptop using the pry tool.

    • Disconnect the larger ribbon cable that connects from the motherboard to the keyboard by gently pulling on the end that attaches to the keyboard.

    • Now we can move the keyboard side without the rest of the laptop.

    • Some screws will be located under a piece of tape. Remove the tape prior to unscrewing these screws.

    • With the keyboard out of the way, we will be able to access the touchpad.
