Before beginning, make sure to close your laptop, power it off completely, and disconnect it from any external power source.

To open the bottom compartment, put one finger underneath the laptop and firmly grab the compartment with your thumb.

Carefully slide the bottom compartment with your thumb until you feel it pop out of place.

Unscrew the twenty M2 x 6 Phillips screws using a #00 Phillips screwdriver and a PH001 bit. Then, unplug the battery and disconnect all the components connected to the motherboard.

Pry open the bottom of the laptop using the pry tool.

Disconnect the larger ribbon cable that connects from the motherboard to the keyboard by gently pulling on the end that attaches to the keyboard.

Remove the tape that is holding the smaller ribbon to the touchpad. Gently disconnect the smaller ribbon by pulling on it.
