Introduzione

RAM, or Random-Access Memory, is very important to a PC’s performance. Replacing the RAM Sticks in a PC could provide a much smoother experience with it. This guide will show how to replace the RAM in a Corsair Crystal Series 460x PC case. This guide can also work with other cases, as the process is very simple and standardized across many PCs.

    • Turn off and disconnect the Power Supply on the back of the computer to ensure no electricity is flowing through the computer while being repaired.

    • If the power supply is plugged in while the RAM Stick is being replaced, there is a serious risk of electrical shock. Make sure to unplug the power supply, and also flip the power switch to the “OFF” position as seen in the picture.

  2. Z6ijJAKXYKSD2Fbk
    • Put on an anti-static wristband and attach the alligator clip end to any grounded surface before beginning any work within the computer.

    • CAUTION: Anti-static wrist bands are a necessary layer of protection against electrical shock while working on a computer. While they are not mandatory, they are recommended as they severely reduce risk of electrical shock and damage to your computer.

    • Remove the RAM sticks by pulling them straight out.

    • This may require some force, but they should remain undamaged if pulled straight.

    • Before installing the new RAM sticks, note the location of the indent on the golden part of it.

    • This indent is there to guide the installation. It lines up with the RAM slots in the motherboard.

    • The RAM sticks are NOT symmetrical.

    • Place your RAM into the same slots the damaged ones originated.

    • CAUTION: Ensure the indent is lined up to avoid damage to the RAM sticks and/or motherboard.

    • Apply an even, significant force on the RAM sticks straight into the motherboard.

    • Once a audible *CLICK *is heard, STOP applying force.

    • The audible *CLICK* heard is an indication that the latches locking the RAM sticks down in place.
