In this guide, the replacement of an HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 display is demonstrated. The display may need to be replaced if there are frequent tears in the screen, or poor lighting or display.
This replacement will only take a few tools. A metal spudger, and a set of tweezers.

Using the metal spudger, gently pry the display screen from the top of the laptop. Slide the spudger around different points on the screen to avoid any damage.

Disconnect the display power cable from the display.

The display can now be removed from the computer and fixed or replaced as needed.
