Introduzione

Follow this guide to replace the fan on your Lenovo ThinkPad E540 laptop.

    • Push the battery release switches away from each other.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Remove the three 1.2mm Phillips #00 screws from the bottom panel.

    For me a Phillips #1 was the first bit with a tight fit (testet PH #00, #0, #1).

    • Use a plastic opening tool to pry off the bottom panel.

    • Heatsink and fan are connected. You have to remove both at the same time.

    • The heatsink and fan are found on the right side.

    • Remove the two 1mm Phillips #0 screws from the fan.

    • Unscrew the four 2mm Phillips s#0 screws from the heatsink.

    • The screws on the heatsink will stay attached to it.

    • To remove the heatsink and fan, pull the fan upwards and towards the center.
