Otium Bluetooth Headphones Battery Replacement

Introduzione

The Otium Bluetooth Headphones are rated for 500 charge cycles. If your headphones will not hold charge, or charge at all, you may need to replace the battery.

    • Power off your earbuds first.

    • Use a pry tool to unclip the cover of the left earbud.

    • Carefully remove the battery from the housing.

    • The battery is connected by two fragile wires.

    • Shown is a 3.7v 100mAh Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery.

    • Carefully peel back the rubber covering the protection circuit module (PCM).

    • Remove the cover and save to re-use.

    • The rubber is attached using Kapton tape and hot glue.

    • Bend the PCM away from the battery to make desoldering the 2 wires easier.

    • Use the soldering iron to desolder the 2 wires from the PCM. Adding a JST connector would make this repair much easier!

    • Recycle your old battery!
