Introduzione

La mia lavatrice Zanussi da un po' di tempo ha smesso di funzionare in modo corretto. A un certo punto non effettuava più i cicli di lavaggio e non provvedeva allo svuotamento dell'acqua.

Pulito tutti i tubi, controllato le spazzole motore, oliato le parti del motore, nessun effetto.

Questa procedura però ha funzionato, riportando la lavatrice alla sua piena funzionalità.

La prossima volta che si guasta fai una prova!

    • Ruota la manopola su OFF.

    • Tieni premuto il pulsante START (quello con la freccia verde) e contemporaneamente premi il tasto a sinistra.

    • Sempre tenendo premuti i due bottoni, gira la manopola programmi in senso orario di un click (temperatura 90 gradi).

    • Le spie (o il pannello digitale) lampeggiano. Rilascia i pulsanti (le luci dovrebbero scorrere).

    • Sposta il selettore di nove posizioni in senso orario.

    • Annota il codice errore sul display.

    • Continua a girare il selettore in senso orario fino alla posizione OFF, poi seleziona un programma qualsiasi e torna su OFF.

    This trick worked a treat for me - err code of E42 appeared when using the above process, then after turning to off and then selecting the drain 2 min cycle, it started to work after that. Many thanks OP!

    ZKG 2105 error code EH1, i tried lots of combinations but did not work. I am trying to remove the error code EH1, its related to power supply problems. Cant remove it. Any help appreciated.

    Meaning of the error:

    The motor does not start. Check motor, electronics and wiring.

    So I interrupted a cycle and I’ve had a fault since it won’t drain I have the aqua cycle 1300 did what you said and behaved ok with the tracing lights etc the code displayed start and end light simultaneously flash once with the end light flashing 3 times when I kept turning dial clock wise to 0 then to select wash or drain all the vertical lights stay on and drum just washing forwards and backwards no matter what the selection is. Any ideas. It was working fine until I tried to change the program mid cycle really weird even taken all washing out and as much water an really confused I am a heating engineer so can’t quite understand what could have gone wrong

    • Tutte le lavatrici prima o poi si guastano. Per prima cosa controlla le spazzole sul motore principale. Tendono a logorarsi, più lavorano più velocemente accadrà. Di solito sono contenute in un alloggiamento esterno di plastica, in posizioni opposte all'estremità posteriore del motore e sono facilmente sostituibili.

    Wow amazing it actually worked - my machine wouldnt drain initially then just wouldnt run any cycles at all. Followed these steps, initially afterwards it came up with some weird message but when I turned the dial all the way around again to the cycle I wanted it started working normally. Result!

Fantastic. I had spent a very frustrating hour trying to sort the problem with my machine. Last resort before buying a new one was to trawl the internet. Came across this solution and, bingo, it worked. So pleased and grateful for the info, saved me a bundle!!

I tried this although in my machine the 'extra rinse' button is not there but a half load button instead. I never the less used this button & what happened is as described. I only needed to turn the dial 8 turns, 40 degrees light wash & the unit made a few cycles then spun at top speed. So far ok. Unfortunately this seems to have upset the programmer which does not follow it's normal pattern of events.

Don't know what to do now except, maybe experiment to get a full wash the go through the procedure again to spin.

My model doesn’t have a digital display. Instead of an error code the start button went red. It worked fine after that but I’ve had to do the reset several times. Any additional suggestions?

I’ve now discovered that, if you do not have a digital display you have to count the flashes. In my case it was 4 red flashes and 2 green. This means E42. This tells me that the issue is with the door seal.

I’ve just tried this method but got to the last part turning it all the way to off and then any programme but the door still does not jump to end.

i counted the flashing lights after 9 clicks and there was 4 red and 2 greens.

have I missed something at the end?

cleaned the water pump piping of all the coins x2 £1 x2 20p x5 1p that had accumalated, the deposit of fluff in the collection area

did the reset as i did not know there was such thing as i had been sitting thinking the motor had stopped working

did the reset and we are back as new

The elais of the heating might be broken. Try changing it or change daughterbord.

My zanussi jetsystem + doesn't take softener in the compartment I done the fault code reset I get error code EF4 ive clean the wash powder /liquid drawer but still get the same error code. .. how do I fix it please ..many thanks

my zanusi is a Zanussi Jetsystem 1400 XC FJR1454W. The power swich is the ony option that lights up .The rest of the option on to pick the settings for washing does not light up again. Can someone tell me how to reset this series for i think resetting it might make the washing machine to start working again Problem started when it was giving me error 40 intermittentl and one day stopped washing in the middle of the circle. I then checked out the drainage outlet including the hose connection to the waste section under the sink. The machine then stooped washing in the missle of circle but error message turn to error 23. I unplugged 2 wire connections and connect them back under the machine before i discovered that the problem was waste blockage around the connection under the sink where the waste hose connects to

Now when i start the machine, the power light comes on but nothing happens and i it does not allow for picking any settings

Thank you so much. I just tried to do a small 30 wash but the digital screen was showing symbol for end of wash an wouldn’t go off. Uh ho. So went on the internet looking for another new washing machine or someone to repair this one. When I found this site, had a look and decided to try the information given. Was prepared for the cost of a new one anyway. Had to do it twice but it worked. Wow. My wash is done, and I owe a big thank you for this site. Not bad for a 72 year old woman.

Hello people,everyone is talking about error codes and what to do when you get one…mine has literally stopped working with nothing showing up on the display!..so no error codes NOTHING!..all I did was turn the dial from quick wash to mix wash and the display went off,Iv put in a new fuse but nothing,please help!

The same has happened to mine. Went to put a load on and there are no lights or display. Just a very faint light when I turn the dial all the full 360 and put it the 90degree setting. It’s almost like it’s run out of power.

Did you have any resolve or anyone have any ideas?

Hello, i have a Zanussi Wash machine zwg1140M, the machine turn off in any wash program after the some minutes whitout error. I not have find the problem to fix it, i made some verifications and start complet test program (t12) after the spin test and a some minutes the machine turn off again whitout error. Can someone help me, and what can i do? Thanks.

I put a wash on at 40 degrees, switched on and realised it should have been a 60 degree wash. I very quickly pressed pause set it to 60 degrees and started it again. Now it runs for 7 min. then clock shows 0.01. I have tried to reset it with the online instructions and still it goes to 0.01 after 7 mins. Any suggestions welcome ?

I have a Zannussi ZWG7160P washing machine which initially fills ok but when it gets to fill for rinse it goes into E10 code and turns off turning it on and manually filling it myself it then finishes the cycle. Otherwise it works ok.

My machine was bought new in 2001. For the last few years it sometimes displays E90 and beeps. This has started happening more often. I have to press the programming buttons with a few seconds interval in between, this seems to help. Someone told me it could be a circuit board problem. There are no blockages anywhere. Does anyone know if it could be the circuit board?

Hi there - I have a Zanussi Washing machine model number ZJ1218. The machine wouldn't drain so I took out the filter and it was so blocked up. I drained the water with a bowl and cleaned the filter but since putting back togetehr the cycle won't finish. We have powered off and on for 10 mins and the cycle seems to have lost itself.. is there a way of resetting? There are no error codes.. thank you so much

Perfect. Zanussi Essential 1600, switched to “Spin” mid-cycle (wrongly thinking wash cycle had finished). Thereafter error until this fix, whereupon all well once again.

My model is different, ZKG 2105 with this error code EH1, related to power supply. I am supplying correct power (initially didn’t therefore the code), but I want to get rid of the code as the machine wont start, start button continues to blink red. Just used the code reset fix again for the umpteenth time and thought it was about time I added my appreciation for this little piece of magic. I’ve not needed it for a while but so glad it’s still there and it still does the trick. I follow the above steps but usually find when I first go to select a programme afterwards I get the message “ELE” and the machine starts to run itself. I simply switch it back to “off” then when I select a programme again the machine works properly. This must be the most useful fix-it tip ever posted online. Thanks.

Machine is about 15 years old and has worked perfectly… until today. The programme stopped at the spin cycle and then reverted to restart. Drain worked but not spin cycle. Rinse cycle worked until first spin then stopped. So, I followed the advice and don’t ask me how or why but after turning the dial a full cycle, the programmes worked again. The fault code showed as E11 and then ELE

I have a Zanussi ZWF 81440W washing machine. Its only 15 months old. The door will not open and I have clothes stuck in it. There is no LED display so I cant work out the fault. Has anyone else got this issue , advise on how to solve it? Thank you in advance.
