Per prima cosa, controlla che la porta di connessione del tuo controller (con o senza fili) abbia tutti i pin.

Se hai un controller cablato (un controller con un cavo che si collega direttamente alla tua console) prova a piegarlo in diverse direzioni. Questo potrebbe ricollegare le connessioni rotte all'interno del cablaggio del controller e potrebbe essere una soluzione temporanea.

Una volta rimosse le viti, apri con cautela il controller usando le mani.

Rimuovi la vite che tiene in posizione il circuito stampato.

Esamina i gommini e cerca eventuali detriti che potrebbero interferire coi cuscinetti neri. Questi effettuano un collegamento elettrico sul supporto e potrebbero non essere a contatto in modo corretto.

Esamina la trigger board flessibile per verificare che non vi siano sporcizia o detriti che potrebbero intralciare il pulsante di gomma della pulsantiera.

Controlla il collegamento della trigger board flessibile al circuito principale del tuo controller.

Se hai completato tutti i passaggi precedenti e hai ancora difficoltà a far funzionare i pulsanti, considera la possibilità di sostituire il circuito stampato principale o la trigger board flessibile.

Inverti le fasi di smontaggio fino a quando il controller non è tornato allo stato originale. Collega il controller alla console e verifica se la riparazione ha funzionato.

Dualshock 2 controllers, model A and H, are having 8 pins, not 9. Your first Step is false and rarely wires are the cause of the problem.
No my Dual-shock 2 controller has 9 pins so you are wrong he is right man.
Eva Langley is correct, some of these controllers have only 8 pins, not 9. I myself can conformed this because I just recently opened one of two brand new fresh out of the box Sony original equipment controllers that I purchased (for a little less than $10 a piece) during a clearance sale at my local Sears just before they went out of business. So Eva is NOT wrong. I still have the second one still in the box and before anyone ask, I don’t won’t to sale. I purchased them because I have had both my original controllers go out after they were sitting up for a few years without use. My game units are very well taken care of but the controllers of the PS2 just stopped working and finding a definitive answer to why this happens is STILL very elusive in 2019.
Is there a way to open the connector without breaking it?

Some models of the DualShock2 controllers could be missing the pin circled in the picture. After doing some online searching, I found the pin slot circled in the picture is the connector for a white wire, which is listed as unused for some controller models. -So if your controller is only missing that one, and the other 8 pins are in their place (and straight) you should be fine. However if you believe you are missing a pin. I really don't see a way you could replace the individual pins with out breaking the case for the entire connector port. I would buy a new one at that point, maybe keep the old controller for its guts. (assuming the only problem is the pins)

What if one of the pins are bent?

When looking into the port with the arrow up, that second pin from the right is not always there and it should be fine. that one out of the nine pins is optional and only used for certain peripheral like light guns, newer model controllers come from the factory without that pin.
