    • L'utente esperto verifica se il disco rigido esterno viene visualizzato in Gestione disco, se Windows non lo rileva.     If your drive shows up here, check to see also whether it is online or offline. If it shows offline right click there (on the left) and select online. This may fix it. You might run into this problem when there has been a drive letter conflict, since you can't have duplicated letters, one has to go,. Remember to assign a unique drive letter if there is none.

    It did fix my problem, but the question is why it's doing it? It happens on Windows 7.

    • Come sappiamo, collegando un nuovo hard disk esterno Toshiba al PC, Windows potrebbe non riconoscerlo perché non è stato inizializzato. Aprire la gestione del disco.     • Per evitare che le infezioni da malware causino problemi, per prima cosa scansiona il tuo computer, se dovesse essere tutto pulito, scansiona il disco esterno.

    • Disabilita l'esecuzione automatica per USB esterni, quindi esegui la scansione prima di provare ad eseguire un backup o ripristinare i dati. Non devi includere alcun virus. Questo passaggio dovrebbe avvenire non appena il disco è visibile da Windows.

All of the solutions revolve around the fact that diskmgmt.msc registered the device. My computer detected there was something in the USB port, just didn’t know what it was.

- Use pictures in the future or your guides likely become useless.

Seems the guide is out dated but I cant be sure because there is no freaking pictures…its 2019..come on man….not 1998 any more.

My drive doesn’t show up in any of these solutions. The only place it shows up is I. Computer Management>Disc Drives.

Great little series of potential fixes (and if someone can read, they don’t need pics), but unfortunately, like some others, my brand new drive doesn’t show up anywhere at all. It was formatted on an 8.1 machine using Macrium with which I cloned a drive, which I am fairly certain was an NTFS type format. But, nada. Win 10 sucks again.
