Introduzione

Questa guida ti mostrerà il processo per sostituire la tua RAM in questo laptop. Ciò può essere utile se la tua ram non funziona a dovere o se vorresti aggiungere altra RAM. Questa è una delle sostituzioni più facili su questo dispositivo. La RAM è progettata per essere rimpiazzata e aggiornata, quindi è stato fatta in modo da essere facilmente accessibile. La RAM è in pratica la memoria temporanea del computer, NON la memoria di archiviazione del computer. Una cosa da notare: questo vano della RAM potrebbe essere vuoto dato che uno stick di RAM è saldato sulla scheda madre e quindi non accessibile dall'utente. Se quello stick è difettoso, devi compilare un RMA. Ma se è lo stick nel vano RAM che è difettoso, puoi proseguire con questa guida.

    • Capovolgi il portatile e poggialo su una superfice solida.

    • La RAM è allocata sotto lo sportello rettangolare sulla parte inferiore del portatile.

    • Assicurati che il gommino sia in un posto sicuro, è molto facile perderlo.

    • Usando un cacciavite a croce Phillips #0, svita l'unica vita da 2,5 mm sullo sportello della RAM.

    • Usa lo strumento di apertura di plastica per sollevare lo sportello della RAM.

    • Con il dito, spingi sulle due leve di metallo (una su ogni lato) verso l'esterno fino a che la RAM non si solleva.

    • Rimuovi gentilmente il banco di RAM.

Are you seeing just a plastic circle? That has to be pried off... the screw is underneath.

Ariel, the battery should be removed but this creates very unnecessary strain and stress on you. This is just an expansion bay, the actual ram is soldered on the motherboard, not serviceable by the end-user. Again, this is an expansion bay so what that means is if no RAM is in the to begin with, the laptop will be fine because there is still RAM directly on the motherboard. This is just so the end-user can add more RAM if they so choose.

What if it comes with 2GB RAM already in the bay? Is it okay to proceed as long as the PC is shutdown? Will I lose any information by removing the 2GB RAM stick? Thanks. (My X555LAB has 6GB RAM total but I wish to replace the 2GB with an 8GB, 12GB total, even though this PC has the i7 CPU which I heard can handle more than 12GB of RAM, something like 32GB but apparently this PC can handle only 12GB even though it has an i7 8th gen processor) Any advice?

Guys, so there is 4 GB RAM on the MOBO, and I can even add another 8 on top, having 12? Or I can add not more than 4 since it says that max for this laptop is 8. Please advise.
