    • Flip the iRobot upside down

    • locate the edge sweeping brush which has a screw in the center.

    • Loosen the screw using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

    • Lift the side brush up from the vacuum and keep it aside.

    • Loosen the five captive screws on the bottom of the Roomba using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
