Introduzione

My remote had battery leakage damage. I attempted to disassemble to clean but prying was very forceful and I probably damaged it. Also, I found the battery damage was extensive inside.

    • Heat it a lot if you are trying to maintain it in working order because it seems the glue on the clasps was very strong. I probably broke mine taking it apart (but it didn't work anyway so I don't know).

    • It takes A LOT of force to pry this apart. I'm not sure it's possible without breaking the inside.

    • Very easy to remove with the #0 phillips screwdriver.

    • Once the screws are removed, all the pieces come out easily.

How do you put it back together?

I didn't put it back together because mine had too much leaked battery damage. I hoped by writing this tear-down it would help the next person take theirs apart and damage it as little as possible and be able to reassemble it if there wasn't damage. The best answer to your question I can give is: reassembly is the reverse of the tear-down.

Thanks for the teardown, new firestorm 4k has a couple of screws under the round wheel, but you can pop that off and the remove.

. I used a pair of pliers to just rip off the mic, it is surface mounted and comes away with the pads and remote still works. Small amount of glue on the inside.
