Hi, my name is Joseph Abdelhadi.

A little bit about myself:

I am a 21-year-old Palestinian-Canadian from Brampton and am currently in my 4th year of studies at York University although I am only in my 3rd year in terms of level of study (this is mostly credited to York’s administration and their lack of care to help students succeed). I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology with a French minor. My main goal as of right now is to finish my degree and become an independent member of society.

Skills and Hobbies:

-      I am well versed in fixing software issues. To be more specific, I am good at troubleshooting technological problems until I find a viable solution for it. This is important because I am constantly on my computer or phone.

  -      Investing is something I have been looking into and learning a lot about for the past couple of years. I can (amateurly) advise people on how to efficiently save and profit from their own money with my knowledge on things like real estate, stocks, forex, selling used items and things of that sort. It is important to be financially responsible and profitable in an increasingly harsh economy.

-      Entertainment is another thing I enjoy producing in my own way. I used to make vines, I also made tik toks for about a year and some of my friends thought they were funny. I don’t think they are amazing by any means; I am just listing it because I can naturally think of funny situations and skits to make videos of. I am also an amateur video-editor and can work my way around editing software fairly easily if needed (I also make YouTube videos whenever I feel inspired to do so).

Further aspirations of mine include but are not limited to:

-      Becoming trilingual and capable of fluently speaking English, French, and Arabic.

-      Developing good programming skills

-      Gaining influence in the world so I can speak up for my people oppressed back home in Palestine.

-      Learning how to be a handy man at home

Fun Fact About Me:

The only class I did badly in for my first year (I got at least a B+ in every other course) was 1620, a java-based programming course. This was because I had close-to no knowledge on programming prior to starting this course, and I had no idea it would be this challenging and important towards getting a degree in IT. And even 3 years after struggling with 1620, as an IT student, I still suck at Java!
