Hi! I’m Jennifer Goon.
I’m a graduate of the University of North Texas (UNT) with a Master of Arts in professional and technical communication. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from UNT. Go Mean Green!
I have experience in creative, informative, and academic styles of writing. Writing has been my hobby from a young age, and I’m fortunate to turn it into a career. I plan to build a career in writing, editing, and translating technical documents, along with web design. On the side, I plan to create and run a blog about technical communication.

Projects
In my technical communication course, I created a video tutorial about navigating Trello, a project planning website. I used screen capture technology with Camtasia and recorded audio of the instructions. You can view the completed video here.
I also had many experiences with professional documentation while training in speech-language pathology. One experience was an assessment report of a patient named Hadley. When given information about her condition and past health complications, I wrote a summary of her medical history and assessment results and assigned a prognosis with suggestions for treatment. I used appropriate healthcare terminology to address my primary audience, and I also made sure that the general public would understand the contents of the report, considering my secondary audience.
Repairs
My first repair was a fast fix for the Whirlpool GD5SHAXKQ00. I instructed beginner users in clearing the ice dispenser, an issue that occurs every six months or so. I disassembled the ice bucket and tube, removed excess ice with warm water, then reassembled all items. You can view the fast fix here.
