Alex Fung

Hello there! My name is Alex Fung. I am a junior at the University of California, Davis pursuing a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in Construction Engineering and Management.

Despite being a Civil Engineer, I love all things technology, computers especially. I like learning about what the latest tech industries are up to like Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia. Moving on from tech, I am rekindling my passion for fitness and have started a workout regimen. For fun, my hobbies would be playing video games, skateboarding, and basketball.

In one of my introductory engineering courses, my team of 4 and I were tasked with creating a solution to greenhouse gas emissions. We first located a significant source of emissions, which came from households' power consumption. We ended up making our target audience homeowners and designed an automated window that can be used in replacement of air conditioning.

Most of my repair experience comes from my interest in computers. I have repaired multiple family computers and am able to troubleshoot/diagnose hardware issues. Repairing computers may seem daunting at first, but with a couple of screwdrivers and enough patience, anyone can fix one up.
