Hey there! My name is Jackelyn Avila. I am currently a junior at California State University, Bakersfield majoring in Psychology. I am a stay at home mom and have a beautiful one year old.
After graduation, I plan to apply to law school and become a criminal defense attorney. From a young age I have always had an interest in the criminal justice system and I had the opportunity to work for the Kern County District Attorney's Office and for a criminal defense attorney in Kern County where I worked for 5 years prior to becoming a stay at home mom.
During my free time, I enjoy staying active. I have competed in the Bakersfield marathon, participated in numerous 5k events in Bakersfield and have also competed in the Santa Barbara Triathlon. If I am not training for an event, I am usually running after my one year old, reading a book, exploring the outdoors or helping my father repair something.
I am eager to create iFixit guides with the help of my partner and my father to educate the community on how to repair household items.
