Hello! My name is Isa Hamilton Cruz, and I am a sophomore at the University of North Texas.

I am currently studying Biochemistry, and in the future I would like to pursue a job in Microbiology.

Growing up with an engineering father I learned how to do the basic things like soldering, wiring, and building things from scratch. I would use those skills through my time being in Girl Scouts. In Girl Scouts we would help with fundraising or construction projects that were either provided by the city or created by our troop. We worked in projects from building benches to helping people repair there bikes for free.

My dad also introduced me to my love of microbiology, through beer making.  He would teach me step by step on how to put together the whole brewing system, while simultaneously teaching me the wonders of yeast and its reactions to our controlled environment.

In my free time I like to research fungi and take photos of the ones I see passing by. I also like Roll Film Photography and have been taking photos for five years.
