Hi there! My name is Emily Contreras. I am a freshman but classified as a junior at Sam Houston State University majoring in Criminal Justice. I also have an Associates of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
(My black gown to symbolize my earning of my Associates degree in high school)
My interest in Criminal Justice started three years ago before I was most interested in the medical field. After some consideration and the opportunities I had to earn my Associates, I realized my passion in the CSI field the more I researched it. I slowly began by watching and reading crime reports in my spare time, and then I realized how intrigued I was by the hands-on work CSI agents do and what they do for the world.
(Me showing of my Sam Houston pride)
My dream to become a CSI has grown all the more as I slowly reach the end of my degree. This job will help me grow as a person and learn how it helps others grow. Helping solve crimes and finding evidence is what I want to do to help society. I want what is best for me and my life as well as the communities, and I think this job will help me grow passionately and help the world.
I haven't had much experience with fixing things other than sewing and crocheting. This is something I've done in my free time and have taken the time to learn because of the therapeutic and benefits it has. So given the opportunity to teach a guide on something impactful as fixing apparel, I think would help me in my experience and the community.
