Hi! I'm Kate. I am a junior at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I am studying mathematics and have a concentration in statistics.
I have always loved learning and books, but the most hands on building I can do is making a cake. I am not much for technology and therefore I am a frequent user of online how-to guides. I think being able to repair and reuse things is important and I love the mission of IFixIt. Unlearning the single-use, convenience mindset that we have is a very important part of reducing waste and being more sustainable. With the help of my teammates who have more technical know-how and my writing and communication skills, I think we can create a helpful repair guide and contribute to that goal.
